Malvern Mobility Method – Medical Disclaimer & Participant Agreement

By enrolling in and participating in the Malvern Mobility Method programme, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions.

0

The Malvern Mobility Method programme is an educational and exercise-based programme designed to provide general guidance on improving mobility, strength and balance for adults.

The content is not intended to replace individual medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a doctor, physiotherapist or other qualified healthcare professional.

Participation in the programme does not establish a physiotherapist–patient clinical relationship with Rachel Thompson or West Malvern Physiotherapy.

2. Medical Responsibility

You agree that you are responsible for your own health and wellbeing while participating in the programme.

You should consult your GP or healthcare professional before beginning the programme if you:

• Have a diagnosed medical condition
• Have had recent surgery or injury
• Experience dizziness, unexplained falls, or chest pain
• Have uncontrolled blood pressure or heart conditions
• Are unsure whether exercise is appropriate for you

If you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, or any unusual symptoms while performing the exercises, you should stop immediately and seek medical advice.

3. Exercise Participation

All exercises are voluntary and performed at your own risk.

Participants should work at a level appropriate for their own physical ability and use a stable support (such as a chair, countertop or wall) where recommended.

Exercises should be performed in a safe environment with sufficient space and appropriate footwear where required.

4. Not Individual Physiotherapy Treatment

The programme provides general physiotherapy-informed exercise guidance but does not replace a personalised physiotherapy assessment.

If you have specific injuries, neurological conditions, significant balance problems, or complex medical needs, you should seek individual assessment from a qualified healthcare professional.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rachel Thompson and West Malvern Physiotherapy shall not be held liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from participation in the Malvern Mobility Method programme.

Participants acknowledge that all physical activity carries some level of risk.

6. Personal Responsibility

By enrolling in the programme you confirm that:

• You understand the exercises are performed at your own risk
• You will stop any exercise that causes pain or concern
• You take full responsibility for monitoring your own health and safety during participation

7. Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in the Malvern Mobility Method programme and accessing the course materials, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to this medical disclaimer and participant agreement.

If you do not agree with these terms, you should not enrol in the programme.
